Test the safety reverse by closing the door on a board laid flat; it should reverse. Wave an object through the sensor beam while closing.
02Spring and fall
Lubricate hinges, roller bearings and springs with garage door lubricant. Check cables for fraying. Inspect the bottom seal. Test balance: with the opener released, the door should stay put halfway up.
03Leave to a technician
